Look Into The Internet Microscope

Learn Materials With Augmented Reality Tools
This Internet Microscope tool has been developed as a website to contain hundreds of images as well as information on a range of materials across a range of different applications. These images are currently being incorporated into a virtual microscope 'Augmented Reality' tool enabling students to project virtual images onto real samples.

What's in the tool ?
This tool provides scale of magnifications for various products and materials such as:

Investigate different scale of microstructure of cotton Provide images over a range of scales for different materials
Monitor the details of the used tooth-brush Provide images over a range of scales for different articles
Notes to explain the microstructure related to the manufacturing process Explain microstructures and relate them to the manufacturing process

How is this tool linked to the schools curricula in UK ?
We are going to extend the range of materials and also used it alongside with our specialised Augmented Reality (AR) toolkit, particularly with respect to aerospace to present the latest developments in materials design and to make the Internet Microscope more relevant to 21st Century Science GCSE and Advancing Physics A-level.

The next version will be made available as an interactive activity allowing you to set-up a 'virtual microscope' using our AR software projecting microstructures onto real materials.

How to access the Internet Microscope for School ?
Our Internet Microscope for School's website will be integrated into the Tools4Schools very soon, you can click here to access the website now

Development is in progress on our AR toolkit software, which you can download them in later stage.
